Christopher Baker, LICSW.

Chris is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the field of behavioral health treatment and therapy since receiving his Masters Degree in Clinical Social work from Rhode Island College. Prior to receiving his graduate degree, Chris attended the University of Rhode Island where he studied Sociology and Political Science. Born and raised in South County, Chris is  proud of his ability to bring his practice to the local community.
Chris specializes in working with individuals who may be struggling with depression, substance use disorders, anxiety, adjustment disorders and a multitude of other clinical matters. Utilizing a variety of treatment modalities, Chris formulates a multifaceted approach to therapy and incorporates tenets of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Chris also works with couples and families who are working to explore and work on the dynamics that exist within such relationships. "Individual evolution is often the product of a collective process" is a belief system that defines Chris' therapeutic approach. Client and PERSON-CENTERED treatment are both values that Chris holds closely when working with individuals who need personalized support.
